CORPORATE OFFICE - American Girl
Although the products are created for the use of young girls, the corporate office space will accommodate the needs of 70 professionals. The environment will be designed to capture the empowering, youthful drive of the company, but also serve as a functional space for working adults. Throughout the office space will be a journey through history following each American Girl’s era. This will also serve as a way to showcase the history of the company, its unique journey, and the elements that have been incorporated along the way – promoting the educational and historical value of the company.

Residential kitchen
This kitchen is designed for the John’s family of four. Mr. John’s was recently diagnosed with Obsessive Compulsive Disorder (OCD), and needs a kitchen that accommodate his needs. In order to help all family members function properly in this space, many different types of storage are available, methods of concealing clutter are implemented, and a sense of balance through symmetry is also used. In this project, we were able to practice our skills of construction documents (Floor plans, elevations, sections, millwork nomenclature, and custom millwork design). The selection of appropriate materials was also an important part of this project. Cleanability, texture, and color were all taken into consideration.

Single Family Home
This single family home is designed for the William family of five, and Mr. William’s mother who uses a wheelchair. Having a separate, private space for the grandmother that easily accesses the main portion of the home was very important in the design. ADA was also taken into consideration to accommodate her needs. Mrs. William also needed a space to teach piano lessons when her students visit the house. Utilizing spaces to function properly for all family members was a main priority in this design.
